1. Each company has Users, Customers, Systems and Sites 2. Sys admin only adds Company. 3. users associated with the company uploads the csv files. 4. The csv files are Event log, Call log, Key time 5. The site will generate the necessary reports based on the csv uploads. 6. php charting, excelreader / csvreader, mpdf if you need to save reports as pdf will be used. Hey Sorton, I've gone over the documents you provided and I would very much like to do this project for you. I would like to do it using python and the Django web framework. Django has a lot of useful features built in such as a site administration panel, and MySQL support and while I don't know PHP I do know that it has a fairly bad reputation these days. If your starting a new project where you can choose the technology to work with I think it makes sense to use something more modern and easier to maintain like python. As for the project itself, I've made an outline of the site to get an idea of the projects scope and I have some questions to ask but first here is how I see the site working. A user visits the site and is presented with a login page. After logging in the user is taken to the company page associated with his user account. The company page has company info and a list of systems. Selecting a system takes the user to the systems page which lists sites. Each site has a site page where reports can be accessed. There will be a separate admin section of the site where data can be modified and uploaded based on user permissions and their company. Report level users would not be able to access this. Theres a lot more planning to do before I would start coding and I have several questions to ask regarding various details but I'm running out of characters.
