Bootsect Clone

I would like to create a clone of the [login to view URL] tool that is available as part of the AIK. This must be written in VB6 and must set the boot code to either NTLDR or BootMGR. It must also work on any drive specified. It can be written as a form or DLL, I just want to understand how it works.
