I have a small database written in Access and need to convert it to a platform that will run in Windows or Linux. We do not wish to use any software from Microsoft, in other words this needs to be either open source or some other very affordable option. The current database has a workable front end that permits to do data entry, searches, and reports. That would be what we will need after the conversion as well. We will need to verify the integrity of the data before completion. Ideally some sort of WYSIWYG report creator would be perfect, but at the very least we need to be able to generate reports that would print/view both full page (all details) or one line for each record so that we would have anywhere from 20-30 records per page. This does not need to be a serious network database since only one or two of us might be using it at a time, probably never two people at once. This is a VERY small business!
## Deliverables
I am slightly knowledgeable re databases and have worked with them from Foxpro on up, but obviously am not a programmer. That means I know what is needed and have a very vague idea about how to get it but certainly cannot implement it. That would be where you come in.
