After attempting construction of this website myself i realized i need a professional web programmer to create a visually pleasing and consumer friendly site. This website's purpose will be to connect unsigned bands from around the world to one central point for band member location, and public promotion. The website will need interactive mp3 playing capabilities as well as a user interface that will allow website members to create their own content on the site with the use of forms. Members will need to be able to post music, pictures and possibly videos for public viewing. There will be need for a sophisticated and user friendly search engine for browsing the bands. I intend for there to be thousands of member bands so this is very important. I also need a data collection capabilities to be able to send newsletters and promotional e-mails to members. I want the site to be mostly self sustaining. This means that once the site is built i want the customer input to create the website's content with little or no maintenance needs. Top ten lists will need to automatically update using ranking systems integrated onto the mp3 player. All of these features need to be centered around a simple and comprehensive design and search engine optomization. The two main competing websites have an alexa ranking of about 2000 and 10000. My budget is not large but i am willing to review any offer.
