Convert Shoutbox to Chat

The script that you will modify is Joovili v3.0.1. It has a shoutbox as chat, but the problem is that users do not know if anyone is chatting because is like a message board. I want to change that shoutbox into a regular interactive chat room where users can see if there's anyone currently chatting or not.

You will modify a website usinig Joovili v3.0.1 script.
