I have an eB*ay sni*ping site that uses curl, I keep getting curl error timeout messages from my script, and no sni*pes are executing.
This is an urgent project, but I need someone that can actually diagnose and fix this quickly.
This is the last message from hosting support to look into it a little bit:
""Could it be that ebay is blocking my ip address nall of a sudden?"
This doesn't look to be the case as the curl is executing fine from SSH. If it were failing, it'd give a time out or error, this is responding but with no information. This can be normal for a curl without any extra options defined and the same thing I'm experiencing from my local computer.
cP/(Edited) root@67 (Edited) [~]# curl '[url removed, login to view]'
cP/(Edited) root@67(Edited) [~]#
I've also double checked using telnet, your server CAN connect to [url removed, login to view] through its webserver on port 80.
cP/(Edited) root@6(Edited) [~]# telnet [url removed, login to view] 80
Connected to cgi1.ebay.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
You'd need to check the options for the curl as many more options have to be defined using PHP's curl. You'd also need to check to make sure that eBay's API hasn't changed since this is calling their remote scripts.
I've confirmed that I can't see the stats page either, however, if this is also pulling information from eBay, you'll need to check that your scripts are function how they should so you're developer will need to further investigate."
