i have mostly work of script + database and Linux server optimization. But my some Question about your application, 1- your Server hosting dedicated / VPS or shared ? 2- what are you using Hosting OS Like window server or Linux (centos 6.5_64)? 3- your DBMS name and version ? 4- php and httpd server version ? 5- how many user access your application on real time ? 6- Application Type Like (POS, SCM, ERP, etc).
