hi.
we would like to develop a SMP system.
right now we need somebody that knows about the technology to do researh and write an essay on the subject, to figure out if what we want to achieve is doable, and what the best way to do it is.
we'd like to:
* have 4-8 processors, and lots of RAM.
* run any Windows OS on the machine
* move tasks between processors to balance the workload efficiently. For instance, if we're running [login to view URL], [login to view URL], and [login to view URL], we'd like [login to view URL] to run on processor1, [login to view URL] to run on processor2, and [login to view URL] (or any other OS process) on processor4.
if Windows will not know how to do this, we'd like to know if installing a SMP linux kernel as the main OS and installing Windows on a virtual machine will achieve our goal.
thanks, please feel free to ask any question.
