The job is to develop branding for a small hotel / guest house in Udaipur India, which will have a small cafe and (if we can get approval) a bar on the ground floor. It overlooks a beautiful lake. The name we plan on using is Madhurasa which in Sanskrit means 'essence of fruit' as in squeezing the juice from a fruit or wine from grapes.
I need someone familiar with Hindi and Sanskrit to clarify whether Madhurasa will be positively received by persons of South East Asian origin. The deliverable is a writeup of about 500 words on the associations of this identity, and to describe what imagery might be appropriate to enhance the positive associations of the brand. This will be used as a brief for a graphic designer to develop a logo and signage.
