Akosia Summer Project in Ghana

Akosia is a registered small charity that facilitates creative projects for underprivileged children. Since it was founded in 2008, the organization has run an annual project in Accra, Ghana for street children of a school called Street Academy. Going forward, Akosia will send a group of eight volunteers to Accra each August with a five-week film programme. This project takes 40 children on a filmmaking journey, involving writing, set-design, costume making, acting and shooting, culminating in a mini film festival for the children and their communities at the end of the summer. The children produce the films as independently as possible; they are given tools and technical skills where necessary. During the five weeks they are also provided with two meals a day. We are looking for someone to help rebuild our website, design some of our marketing material, help raise funds for this summer and deal with accounts.
