Coding Icon Images on my Joomla Tool Bar

I am not sure if the title is very accurate for what I am looking for so I will try to explain it better.

Across the top you see Home, shop, need help, meat locker, exBeerience, finished caves.

I have 6 Icon images that I want to be in those spots. I already have the images, but they will need to be resized to fit in propotion with the site.

I would like some mouseover effects (roll over effect).

Please let me know if the images will need to support transpaency or not. If so I can get that.
