Data Display from Excel to Specialized Timeline

Our company uses an enterprise PLM software and we pull data from it to produce the report that I’ve attached. It's a product schedule, essentially, and should be self-explanatory. Rather than change the data we pull out of there, we’d just like to use the data that’s there and redisplay it in the form of the mock-up I’ve attached.

The point of this project is to take the data available already in the report and reset one of the axis to be a calendar, which makes the whole thing much easier to read. We've tried using some excel tricks, but the results are lacking.

There are other ways to do this but we thought we'd try here first.

Though the screen shot only list a few months, I actually want this to chart out until at least all projects are completed.
