An application for users who have 2 or more languages installed, to detect text input in the "other" language, allowing the end user the chance to replace the wrong text with the right one.

## Deliverables

Description of the project:

1. A Windows application which automatically starts with the PC and runs in the background.

2. The application has a tray icon with the following menu options:

a. Quit - terminates the application

b. Settings - displays the Settings popup window

3. The Settings contains the following definitions:

a. AutoStart - a checkbox to determine if the application will automatically start when Windows starts or need to be started manually. Default -> Yes.

b. List of languages used. Minimum would be 2 languages commonly used. Per each language a customized language file will be installed.

4. Language Files

Each language file will contain a dictionary along with "spell checker" style suggestions. Meaning, that per each common mistake, there will be a connection to the correct spelling, exactly like a spell checker display possible correction per each misspelled word (marked in red).

Each Language file will be a database holding records of the following types:

a. A word

b. A spelling suggestion

c. A common error

There are public domain dictionaries of that type, which are used to correct spelling.

5. The application monitors text typed in any window. It examines the text typed while it is typed and makes the following checks going over the list of language (by default - 2 languages, for example: Hebrew and English).

a. Which keyboard is currently selected (Hebrew / English)

b. Is the last word typed spelled correctly in English?

If so,

i. If the current keyboard is English, do nothing

ii. If the current keyboard is Hebrew, for example, the word "cat" was typed "??? ", alert the end user.

c. If not, is the last word typed, spelled correctly in Hebrew?

i. If the current keyboard is Hebrew, do nothing

ii. If the current keyboard is English, for example, the word "???? " was typed "j,uk", alert the end user.

d. If the last word typed is not identified as an English or an Hebrew word, check if this word would bring a "spelling suggestion" in English. If it does?

i. If the current keyboard is English, do nothing

ii. If the current keyboard is Hebrew, for example, "????" (catt), which is a misspell of "??? " which was meant to be "cat", alert the end user.

e. check if this word would bring a "spelling suggestion" in Hebrew. If it does?

i. If the current keyboard is Hebrew, do nothing

ii. If the current keyboard is English, for example the word "jyuk" (???? ) which is a misspell of "j,uk" which was meant to be "???? ", alert the end user.

6. What is the alert method

When there is a need to replaced recently typed text to the "other language", the same text in the other language will be displayed with the option to approve by pressing ENTER which will replace the mistakenly typed text with the correct one.

Technical issues:

1. Analyzing text. There are 2 methods: capturing each key stroke typed, or searching for opened textedit boxes and windows and checking it's contents.

2. What to analyze. We can analyze each word or wait and analyze the last 3 or more words typed, so if the last 3 words are a mixture of Hebrew and English, we can use a "voting mechanism" to determine if the keyboard language is wrong. An example would be:

?? ???? ?Back Office ?? ????'? ???

This sentence is a mixture of 2 languages, so if it was typed in the wrong keyboard, it would be looked like that:

Ha k,ei c???? ?????? t, vphmwr vct

And yet, we would like to alert and replace the keyboard.

3. An Hebrew dictionary which is open source and public domain:
