We need a program written that will:
>>receive email (text or HTML) leads from our online leads vendors
>>email an immediate price quote to the lead based on a price access database that prices moves from one US state to another.
>>record the leads information to a leads database, also currently in access.
>>print reports on demand of emails sent or not sent, etc.
We have a program currently in operation that is functional but not satisfactory. We purchased it from a college student (and we own the rights to it) and he has dissapeared. We will provide all the files we have to the contractor we ultimately work with and you can reverse engineer as neccessary.
One of the major drawbacks to the current software we have that we need corrected in the version you write is that we cannot change anything. for example you will see in the screenshots file that the options page shows all NA's. We need to be able to change SMTP and POP servers and all other options. Please note the program must be able to work with mail servers that require authentication and those that don't.
I apologize in advance if this posting is in any way confusing, it is our first post and we are trying to give as much information as possible. We will be happy to clarify any questions on the message board.
Our entire business depends on this software. We will need future projects and the contractor that does an outstanding, excellent job on this project will get preference on the next project we post here.
