hello,
About a week ago my Windows XP Professional SP2 has been infected by a virus. I followed the recommended procedures that I found on online forums and everything seemed to be fine.
Two days ago my system crushed. I tried different solution. I used recovery console, command prompt level copying and moving original system files. I tried using files from the Windows/Repair folder and nothing seems to work.
I followed one of Microsoft solutions and I installed a new version of Windows on the same partition to be able to access the files from the working OS.
At this point nothing seems to work. After all the procedures I can not successfully start XP to get to my files.
I don't really care about most of the files because I had some backed up. The only files that I need at this point is my Outlook Express mail and some corrupted Adobe Lightroom library files that for some reason are there, but empty.
I know where to find Outlook Express files, but they are emty too. All .dbx files show 0kb.
I'm looking for someone who can guide me through the process of regaining access to the files I mentioned or better a system recovery to the state before virus attact.
Please contact me only if you know what to do with serious system crashes in Windows XP Professional.
Thanks
You will have to MAIL me your hard drive (florida). I will put it in an isolated system that cant be infected and recover all that is possible using our special software. YOU CAN NOT RECOVER USING THE SAME DRIVE!
