Create a Wordpress Event Calendar/Timeline Widget

The widget is made for a website that tracks local public events in a Finnish city. The purpose of the widget is to provide an option to view only the events that occur on a particular date.

• The widget should be able to display only the posts on a web page that have a specific date tag in the format DD-MM-YYYY.

• The widget should look like a 7/14 day timeline starting from the current day.

• The widget should have an option to open a calendar and select another day. It should be possible to show/hide this option through WP admin backend.

• The widget should show an option (checkbox) that makes it possible to view only the posts that have a ‘FREE’ tag (in addition to a specific date tag). It should be possible to show/hide this option through WP admin backend.

• It should be possible to customize the view (7 or 14 days) from the WP admin backend.

• The widget should be manageable from the WP admin backend.

• All widget elements should be customizable through CSS.

• The height and width of the widget should be customizable through the WP admin panel.

• The widget should be compatible with Wordpress 3.9 and WPML.

• The widget should run without JavaScript (PHP only).

• It should be possible to install the widget fully through WP admin backend without the need for any other WP code modifications.
