Computersimulation with pedestrians crossing streets

The Windows application is used to examine pedestrians' behavior in a simulated environment when crossing several streets to walk from a starting position to a destination (i.e. train station). There will be two kind of cars driving on those streets: (1) conventional cars with normal sound and (2) electric cars with virtually no sound. Pedestrians may look left and right by moving the mouse accordingly, they start walking by moving the mouse forward, the more forward the faster. They stop by moving the mouse backwards. The following situations must be implemented both for conventional and electric cars (randomly selected with each crossing except country road): - country road (high speed = more sound from the tires) - road in town (lower speed) - car coming from the left - car coming from the right - after pedestrians' watch to the left or right a car is slowly accelerating out of a parking lot? - car driving slowly backwards (again from both sides) Pedestrians movings (mouse movings) have to be recorded according to the specific situations to allow later evaluation. Application should be ready for online surveys.
