Machine Learning Engineer(Natural Language Processing) -- 2

Developers from Serbia and Ukraine. We are looking for machine learning engineers (2 profiles) that will help build the Natural Language Engine that will power our chatbot product, sentiment analysis product and other NLP-based products. Ascendum would be providing these products to Fortune 500 companies. This is a great opportunity to work on an extremely impactful and technically challenging project. The initial contract would be for 4 months. Opportunity for full time hire are also available about 2 months into the contract. -- Desired Requirements (for both profiles) -- Bachelors in Computer Science, Math or related disciplines. Self-taught machine learning engineers without degrees but with strong relevant experience will also be considered. Atleast 2-3 years in the software industry in a machine learning or data science related role. Candidate should be self-motivated and a self-starter, e.g. ability to take independent decisions required to build a viable product. -- Bonus Requirements (for both profiles) -- Masters in Computer Science, or Machine Learning or a related degree will be an added bonus. Demonstrated experience in completing remote work successfully, or availability for meetings in SF Bay Area. Active blog about machine learning concepts, tools and implementations. Interested in publishing at ACL, EMNLP, COLING or other NLP conferences, and willing to work hard to make it happen. Such publications will help candidate raise their own profile in NLP/ML community. -- Specific Role Requirements (2) -- - Profile 1: Question-Answering Engineer - Strong experience with Tensorflow or PyTorch is a must. Experience with popular NLP libraries like spacy, huggingface etc preferred. Preference for demonstrated open source contributions in machine learning projects. Acquaintance with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP or Azure. Acquaintance with Lucene or other Information Retrieval frameworks. - Profile 2: Natural Language Understanding Engineer - Strong experience with Tensorflow or PyTorch is a must. Experience with popular NLP libraries like spacy, huggingface etc preferred. Preference for demonstrated open source contributions in machine learning projects. Acquaintance with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP or Azure.
