We are a group of volunteers who are using a paid digital singe software to display a daily Hadeeth and some general announcements for mosques on TVs. I'm trying to create and open source software that fit our needs and to reduce the monthly cost as much as possible.
Our requirements:
1- Full Arabic support.
2- Must integrates the lunar calendar (Muslim Calendar) and it can be manually adjusted by plus or minus 1 or 2 days.
3- There is a daily main card (Hadeeth) for all screens and most likely this card is the same for all screens. This card reflects the actual Muslim date of the date of display.
4- There are monthly/weekly reminders (fasting reminder, Friday reminder... etc). and those reminder will be displayed along with the daily hadeeth.
5- In some cases, there is an urgent ad to be displayed on certain screens and this ad can could be displayed alone or displayed with the daily hadeeth.
6- To save energy, the device must control to TV to turn it on or off about 5 times a day. The schedule for on/off timing will be repeated annually but it's unique for every single day of the year.
7- The devices may be connected to WiFi maybe once a week. So, the device should store the time table and cards internally as well.
8- Multiple user levels who can change only one screen and update or modify...etc.
9- Again , the software must be an open source for future updates and modifications from volunteers.
