Hi,
This is the first piece that I am asking the freelance community to help with. I work for an engineering company that sells 3D printing (3DSystems) and CAD software (SOLIDWORKS). We want to start writing more educational and market authoritative content. I'm not sure on how much of a description to provide. I am looking for this writer to think creatively and possibly do some research where necessary.
We are looking for someone to write a blog article on "How to Breakthrough Your Engineering Barriers and Problems" or "How to Hit Your Engineering Goals."
The perspective is from a designer/engineer who is designing a product (in CAD Software - SOLIDWORKS). Their main goal - how can we design better products, faster.
Some thoughts that come to mind and can apply to any company:
1) Understand the purpose
understand the goals of the company - "begin with the end in mind"
2) Proactively Communicate
being able to communicate with various key stakeholders is critical. If you are communicating while designing then you are incorporating feedback along the way before it's too late. Communicate with marketing, sales, etc to make sure the part you are designing is aligned with their goals.
3) Prioritize
make sure you are always working in what's most critical. Manage your time. Leverage what's already been created will drive efficiency - don't re-create the wheel.
4) Execute Efficiently
problem solve, attention to detail, CAD abilities (understand your CAD software)
