Hello! I am an cinema professor and a blog writer which makes me a specialist in this kind of articles. Here is a sample of an article I wrote about David Fincher's Gone Girl.
Title: If u seek Amy (Dunne)
From the black we hear the main character talking, just like in The Social Network. This
time is Ben Affleck’s voice. Suddenly, a marvelous Rosamund Pike appears on screen,
playing Amy Dunne, the most difficult character to know whether to love or hate.
Simple. That’s the word to describe David Fincher’s movies. He grabs a complex, ordinary,
and hard-to-tell story and holds the audience hand to make them live it, specially when it’s
one of his thrillers. He places the clues, just like Amy: you may not see them, but you can
never tell that he didn’t focus them.
Gone Girl tells the story of Nick and Amy Dunne. On the day of their fifth anniversary, Nick
arrives to a home where his wife has disappeared. In an unhappy marriage is easy to point
the finger on the cheating husband. Go, his twin sister, is the only one that supports Nick,
so he starts a journey to prove his innocence, that’s when he looks for Amy’s ex
boyfriends, calls a lawyer and just when you think everything is going to be all right, the
movie turns 180º degrees and starts over again.
