Locate Specific Phrases in an Audio File and Save Them As Smaller Audio Clips
NOTE ---> Please see the attached PDF file for a more readable version of this description. <--- NOTE
The selected freelancer will have access to a collection of three audio files containing a total of 15 minutes of audio. These files contain eight lines (sentences) spoken by two actors. These sentences are repeated several times.
The freelancer must locate all the occurrences of these eight sentences in the audio files. The freelancer must prepare a spreadsheet that contains the name of the audio file where each sentence was found and the minute and second where the sentences were found in that audio file.
The freelancer will then use an audio editing program to select the spoken phrase and save it as a separate mp3 audio clip file. Each time the specific sentence is spoken, it must be copied to its own separate audio file. A slight amount of padding before and after the spoken sentence is acceptable.
These are the sentences spoken:
"Mommy, look! It's a buzzy bee"
"Oh, yes, hon"
"I saw one on TV"
"Yes, honey. Now what you have to do is put your hands in the air, and turn around real slow."
"That was fun. Can I pet it?"
"Can you buy me a fluffy one from the store?"
The wording used by the actors may vary slightly. The freelancer should ignore these small differences and consider the sentence correct and select it anyway.
There is unrelated talk and background noise in the original audio clips. The sentences are always obvious. They are not buried in the noise or crosstalk.
This project is *very* simple but demands accuracy. Every occurrence of the actor's lines must be identified.
The freelancer is successful if
- they have identified EVERY instance of the spoken words required, and
- they have properly noted the location of the words on the spreadsheet, and
- they have created and returned an individual mp3 copy of each occurrence of the words, and
- the quality of the audio clip copy is as good as the original
It is critical that EVERY instance of the given sentences are identified in the three audio files. Failure to identify even one instance will be considered a failure of the project because of the impact to a greater project.
The freelancer must check their work several times by listening to the three audio clips and comparing the occurrences heard with the spreadsheet.

Spreadsheet. A spreadsheet showing the phrase located, the file name where it was found, the minute and second that it occurs, and the name of the output file that the freelancer has created to hold the audio clip.
"Mommy, look! It's a buzzy bee"
take 1 - track 2
"Look, Mommy. It's a buzzy bee"
take 1 - track 2 - clip 1
Audio clips. A collection of audio clips for all the occurrences of all the sentences. The files should be in mp3 format, of the same quality as the original and should be named as labeled on the spreadsheet's “Output file” column. The audio clips should not be truncated at the beginning or end. The audio clips should be added to a zip file for delivery.
