Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000

The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Manager has the responsibility to lead an expert staff of experienced personnel, supported by a state-of-the-art laboratory, which provides a full range of software quality assurance testing for product development and performance assignments. Additionally, this person will be responsible for process improvement and implementation of best practices for the Software Quality Assurance team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership and direction to the members within the SQA team
Ensures adherence to processes for repea, high quality testing that meets our customer’s schedule and expectation
Maintains close contact with staff on status of their project work and personal development through objective evidence of project planning, monitoring, and control techniques
Creates an environment of teamwork, creativeness, personal ownership and accountability within the team
Develops action plans and coordinates resources to address and resolve problems as needed
Checks for compliance, methodology, and traceability from requirement to team’s test procedures
Seeks to continuously improve, develop and implement creative approaches to improve testing processes and automation
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline
7+ years of experience in Software Development and/or Software Quality Assurance
3+ years of experience in a supervisory role or leadership position that provided assessment and coaching of team members
Familiarity with programming languages (.NET, C++, C#, Visual Basic,etc.)
Demonstrated experience in automation and software performance testing tools
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 practices
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Project Management Fundamentals (Planning, Risk and Opportunity Management)
Prior experience leading testing teams and/or projects in a CMMI environment
Knowledge of Kanban Processes for Software Development
