Looking for a copywriter for a new project which is about celebrating the life of the deceased at a wake/funeral.
It is absolutely vital that the right tone is used, which should be a mixture of respectful, sensitive and not at all tacky.
We supply services for the funeral/wake such as the audio visual equipment for a photo/video montage, where we have already obtained the photos and video from the deceased's family.
Another service is skilled storytellers tell the life story of the deceased. The storyteller will have obtained stories from various family members and friends of the deceased, as well as various other information to be used in this life story. The life story is usually delivered at the wake but sometimes at the crematorium/funeral.
We require copy for a flyer and an elevator pitch.
This is a niche service and not aimed at everyone, as there is only a small percentage that book this type of service, and we are most definitely not aiming this at the mass market. However we do not wish to offend anyone as this literature will be left with funeral directors, hospices etc
Thank you for the proposals so far. However in some of them the standard of English used is far from flawless, and it is very clear that the brief has not been understood!
It is extremely unlikely that we'll select anyone non-British for the simple reason that a British copywriter will be far more likely to have experience of the British public and what is likely to be received well and what might not. While no doubt there will be fantastic copywriters in other countries that will submit proposals, this is not just about your level of English, it is about understanding British sensibilities which are unlikely from those not resident here.
If you are not British and/or are not currently living in the UK it would probably be better not to waste your time - apologies.
