I would recommend to create an executable that is far better than the excel that has limitations. I can make you an executable that will 1- Form to create create/update/delete customers. 2- Quote preparation interface( auto complete search by part number and other properties). 3-Item definition form 4-Bulk upload of items from excel file. 5-Reports (need to be discussed). It will be an easy to maintain user-friendly excel workbook (created using excel formulas) which would meet all the job requirements using the respective tabs / sheets as listed below: 1) Data entry tab: Price data can be copied and pasted / entered from a csv file with a fixed format. 2) Price master tab: Here clean Price data will be maintained automatically for unique part numbers only, and will be protected to prevent accidental changes. 3) Price calculator cum Customer Quote tab: This will work based on the Price master. Item Part number selected will be used to fetch the Item description, Price and other information from the Price master. The other enterable columns can be Customer details / Item Quantity / Discount / Tax etc. as per your choice.
