Find Stores in Large Cities

Hi, I’m looking for someone to compile some information about stores within the top 20 American cities and top 10 Canadian cities by population listed in the attached file. I would like data for all stores that have at least one location within each city (for both one-off stores and chains) for each of the categories in the attached file who offer 1) a website OR 2) API-based product search. Note that some stores will be duplicated across multiple categories. The data can be placed either within an Excel spreadsheet or in a Comma-Separated-Values (CSV) text file. The information I require for each store is a URL to perform a product search either: 1. using an API (PREFERRED if available). Walmart, for instance, offers an API ( [login to view URL] ) OR 2. using their website. The fields that I require for each store are as follows: • Name: i.e., “Toys r Us” • Base URL: i.e., [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] • Search Query: “/search/?records=21&query=” (NOTE: Always put the search query parameter last) • Product Selector CSS or JSON/XML key: This will depend on how the search results are returned. In the case of a traditional search results web page, this value will select one product in the search results page using a CSS selector. i.e., “.productDesc”, “[login to view URL]”, “[login to view URL] > [login to view URL]” In the case of JSON or XML, it will be the products array key. i.e., “items”, “results”, “products” • Thumbnail Selector CSS or JSON/XML key: This will depend on how the search results are returned. In the case of a traditional search results web page, this value will select the Thumbnail src attribute using a CSS selector from within the product element. i.e., “[login to view URL]”, “[login to view URL] > img”, “.product_cell_graphic img” In the case of JSON or XML, it will be the Thumbnail image key. i.e., “thumbnailImage” • Product Name Selector: This will depend on how the search results are returned. In the case of a traditional search results web page, this value will select the Product Name using a CSS selector from within the product element. i.e., “.title”, “[login to view URL] a”, “a.product-name” In the case of JSON or XML, it will be the Product name key. i.e., “name” • Product Description Selector (IF PRESENT. Choose short description over a long one): This will depend on how the search results are returned. In the case of a traditional search results web page, this value will select the Product Description using a CSS selector from within the product element. i.e., “[login to view URL]”, “description”, “[login to view URL] > [login to view URL]” In the case of JSON or XML, it will be the Product name key. i.e., “shortDescription” • Product Price Selector (Choose the current price [may be a sale price]): This will depend on how the search results are returned. In the case of a traditional search results web page, this value will select the Current Product Price using a CSS selector from within the product element. i.e., “dl > [login to view URL]”, “.price”, “span[id^=product-price-]” In the case of JSON or XML, it will be the Product Price key. i.e., “salePrice” • Product Details Link Selector: This will depend on how the search results are returned. In the case of a traditional search results web page, this value will select the URL that links to the product details using a CSS selector from within the product element. It is usually the Product Name or Thumbnail element. i.e., “.title”, “h3 > a”, “a.btn-cart” In the case of JSON or XML, it will be the Product URL/Details key. i.e., “productUrl” Please send me details for the first store so that I may verify them before continuing with the rest.
