Create a new excel workbook and save it as Student Full Name_Midterm.xlsx.
a) Create a workbook to enter the monthly salary details of 10 employees. Make the
column headings are as follows. EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, Department,
Hours, HourlyRate.
b) Fill the next 10 rows with sample data. (EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName,
Department, Hours, HourlyRate details of 10 employees, you can make up the data).
c) Enter a new column named Salary, apply an equation to find out salary of the
employees. Copy the formula to the other cells in salary column. Change the format of
the salary column to currency.
d) Select all columns and change the width to 20. Pt, select all rows and change row height
to 17 pt.
e) Rename the sheet as EmployeeMonthlySalary. Change the tab color to Red.
f) Insert a new row at the top and type Employee Salary Sheet, merge and center across
other data, make it bold and change font size to 14.
g) Freeze the first two rows and first column.
h) Apply the appropriate formulas to calculate the total and average salary given to the
employees. Add a label as Total Salary.
i) Apply the appropriate functions to calculate the maximum and minimum salary given
to the employees. Add labels Highest and Lowest respectively.
j) Create a new sheet and using appropriate formula bring the Employee First name’s and
salary from the EmployeeMonthlySalary sheet with reference to the cell values in
EmployeeMonthlySalary sheet, so that if you change any value in the first sheet it
automatically updates values in the new sheet.
k) Using the data in Sheet 2 insert a Pie Chart. Move the chart down to the data values so
that it is visible properly. Change the title of the chart to Salary Chart.
l) Include a hyperlink (hyperlink display should be “Yourname” _ chart) in the first
worksheet that takes you to the chart worksheet.
