Hey there! This is Sourabh Gupta from New Delhi. I am an advanced Excel developer currently at the post of Forum Expert at www.excelforum.com. I can develop a fully automated solution which will be able to read the scanned barcodes, process them as required and log them in a database (can implement both MS Excel and MS Access for database management). I can also provide various reports based on the data logged in, in terms of total quantities or checking how many items were processed within a given timeframe. Hi, I am an Australian-based software developer with significant experience in Excel and VBA Programming. If you provide me a copy of your example Excel workbook, I can examine the data structure and design a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) embedded within the Excel file. My solution will employ very easy methods, whereby the employee simply scans the barcode on the order and it automatically searches for the matches order contents (providing an alert if not found). The employee will then be taken to a second screen, where they consecutively scan each product and the scanned items will be cross-checked with the requirements of the order. When all order items have been scanned, the employee will be provided an alert, as will be the case if they scan an incorrect item (or too many of the correct item). If you also have employee of cards with barcodes, I can incorporate a setting where the employee scans their is to complete the transaction, so you have a record of which employee packed which order.
