This is the second time I am posting this project since the first time, i selected a provider who did not respond back.
This is an urgent project.
I want to start you off on something relatively simple. Many of the animation ideas that I will give you will be a variation on a theme. Two of the categories we need to provide are "Letters" and "Numbers". These are animations that animation a letter such as "A" or "B" or a number like "1" or "2" in a creative way. The idea is to come up with animations that someone might want to use such as a school teacher who wants to have an animation for each letter of the alphabet.
This is a good thing to start with because I will give you a basic animation idea. Then I want you to use each letter of the alphabet (A through Z) as well as each of the following:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100
and also percent signs:
0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, 100% and 110%
There are 26 letters in the alphabet, 20 numbers, and 22 percentage numbers which mean each animation idea will have 68 variations (26+20+22)
The variations should be easy because you will draw the basic animation and then just replace each letter, number or percentage sign with the previous. For example, I've attached a sample JPEG of a clipart image of a man holding a sign. I would like you to do an animation of a man in the cartoon style (see the style guide I sent before) holding a sign like this. He should be moving it back and fort an little. The animation will be simple loop of him moving it back and forth. It should move enough so that if we shrink the animation down very small we can still see that it is moving. If you make the animation very subtle you cannot see the animation when they shrink it down.
Please note that there is one very important thing. The animations should follow the style guide as closely as possible. It is important that there are black outlines. It is important that the outlines have been converted to shapes because lines that are not shapes do not resize proportionately and we will be exporting all of these animations to the GIF format in various sizes. It is also important to *NOT USE GRADIENTS OR ALPHA TRANSPARENCY EFFECTS* . This is VERY important because, again, we are exporting these animations to the GIF format and Gradients and Alpha Transparency effects make the GIF animations look very bad *and* it makes the GIF animations have a file size that is not acceptable.
It will probably be best for you to show me a sample of the first animation before you do all of the samples. I will need to see the FLA file because it is also important *how* the animations are created.
I would like you to start with this. Please give me a quote of what you think it would take for you to do this. I already know what something like this costs with my other animators. In fact, I'm pretty sure that I know how much time this should more than you since I've already had many animators do things like this. However, I need to get a feel for how fast or slow you work. I need to know what you are good at and what you are not good at. Most animators have strengths and weaknesses. As we work together I will try to find what your strengths are and I will assign you more animations to take advantage of your strengths.
In any case, I need to start getting a feel for how well you estimate your hours and how fast you can deliver things that I assign you.
