Development of Existing Logo

We are an India based steel manufacturing company. We are currently having a rebranding exercise in place for which we require our existing company logo redeveloped into a product logo. A copy of the existing logo has been attached. Following are a few directions for redevelopment.
1) The redeveloped logo should portray a new and a bold image while keeping certain aspects of the old logo to retain existing branding.
2) The logo should be aesthetically appealing.
3) The logo should clearly portray that the product is related to steel.
4) The full name of the product will be "SUMO GOLD 500 Thermex TMT Bars". However, logo should basically focus on "SUMO GOLD". Thermex already has a registered logo which cannot be modified.
5) We are driven by innovative ideas and designs. If we like the logo that you develop, we will give you preference for developing a product brochure too.
