restaurant order display system -- 2

European standard order display and tracking with receipt printing capabilities.

Technologies to use, but not limited to:

- Ajax, WordPress, WooCommerce, etc.

must take care of issues like, but not limited to:

CURRENT ORDERS:

- display of new orders on screen order by date-time (FIFO style)

- all notifications must have 'normalized' sound.

- all notifications must have counter for visual inspection (like: new mail (2) ).

ACCORDION:

- use accordions to separate categories for each orders, as seen in attachment.

COMPLETED ORDERS / HISTORY:

- a complete set of orders that were completed today should be maintained.

- this set should be similar to "current orders" as seen on attachment.

- History should not have any sound notification, but a counter on left-bar is required.

TRACKING OF ORDER (client side):

- Upon payment complete, client must be shown a Link to track the progress of their order.

- Ajax-Pull every 10 seconds.

RECEIPTS:

- WooCommerce receipt (email) must be modified to look professional.

- PRINTER receipt should also be as per European Standard where Restaurant Name, Address, Phone, Email, Facebook, VAT reg number, Totals, etc should be displayed.

- Receipts should also have possibility of displaying Advertisements like Vouchers (10%, 5%, 15%, etc), JPEG image.

- Responsive layout is preferred so that images won't look out of place or funny.

ENTRY POINT:

- Re-direct Shop Managers to this environment after login.

- Re-direct 'Drivers' to their own environment.

USER TYPES:

- Shop Managers (as per Woocommerce, no change required)

- Shop Staff ( for cooks, backend workers)

---> They cannot do anything other than use our UI. ie. no access to woocommerce orders page, etc.

- Drivers (for delivery)

---> They are also shop staff, but has their own page. In their page, they will receive Order view, Address, Totals, Payment method.

---> Drivers will also have option like: Delivered on their display panel per order.

---> Drivers will emit their location to our Server every 20 sec, which must be stored where id = timestamp, driver = driver_id, location = coordX,coordY.

---> Drivers position will be displayed on Clients Tracking Page.

This is what I can think of right now, I will add more if logic allows for better application experience. Meanwhile, i leave you to think free and add all missing pieces that I have not covered.
