Social Media Strategy and Management

We are looking to develop our existing social media presence across multiple social media platforms. The major objectives of our social media involvement are: 1. Reputation - Demonstrate authority as an expert / build thought leadership. 2. Increase content reach – get as many people as possible to discover and engage with our content. 3. Increase website traffic - Drive visitors to our website directly and support our search engine optimization strategy. 4. Grow business partnerships and attract customers. 5. Support paid advertising strategy. Current state of social media We operates in a relatively niche and ‘unsexy’ industry. Our social media properties currently suffer from low community volumes and minimal engagement. We have been contemplating the value of Social Media in a B2B environment – and have determined the time is right to invest in dedicated resource to drive our social presence more effectively. Social properties: Supplied to shortlisted vendors. Project requirements We are seeking support to enhance our social media and drive ‘best in class’ performance. There are several aspects to this project: 1. Conceptualize, develop and implement a detailed social media strategy and social purpose. a. Determine how our brand translates into social media b. Create a reason for people to engage with us in a social way 2. Determine and implement social media structure that will focus our social efforts and is appropriate for ongoing resource availability. 3. Optimise current social media properties so they clearly reflect our brand 4. Establish operational activity that delivers to this strategy e.g. conversation calendars, post structure etc. 5. Improve page publishing performance – to drive relevant follower growth and engagement. 6. Set individual page objectives and track key metrics. Provide weekly report detailing progress against key objectives and weekly highlights. 7. Drive influencer engagement, build relationships with thought leaders. Preferred applicants will possess the following skills and experience: 1. An ability to generate a clear social media strategy. 2. A comprehensive community management background. 3. Evidence of achieving social growth and engagement across a variety of industries. 4. Strong photoshop skills and the use of sites such as Canva for image / post creation 5. An analytical approach to social media 6. A structured approach to social media – e.g. use of conversation calendars to plan activity clearly in advance. As part of this application process please provide us with the following: 1. Background and results of the person / team handling the project 2. Social media profiles of the individuals involved. 3. Current client list including social media profiles. 4. Case studies/examples of social media marketing campaign successes achieved – including analytics to support claims. 5. Examples of SM strategy documents previously created / implemented. 6. A mini proposal on how you would approach this task. The stages of this project are... 1. Strategy and operational planning – plan strategy, refresh individual properties in line with brand / strategy, plan conversational calendar. 2. Ongoing page and community management - page publishing, analytics, engagement, social media responses, outreach, and ongoing planning. We estimate that the stage one will take up to 30 hours to complete. A further 20 hours per month are provided for ongoing page management. Individual day / week timings are tbc, but should include significant overlap with our primary market.
