I have no experience with python flask. but I can do your backend in Node.js. or since you said no special code required in python I think I can pick up python for your project very quickly. also you don't need jquery with react.js. you would not smell jquery in app when i am using react.js. would make use of tools like webpack, babel or typescript ES6 and ES7, redux flux implementation if needed and also react-router if needed.
