Coachella Assignment – Use the attached mockup, images and typefaces in collaboration with your HTML, CSS and javascript skills to create a replica of the coachella website. The download below should contain everything you need (images, fonts, @font-face specs) that you need to use in the HTML/CSS. As we’ll discuss in class, use the Chrome Extensions to determine exact sizes, colors and spacing. Color Picker Page Ruler GRADING: Visual(60pts): Your project should be visually identical to the mockup (10pts for each section: navigation, “headliners”, “passes”, “experience”, “travel”, “full lineup”) Functionality(40pts): 1) Throughout the mockup, you’ll see three areas that have the hand cursor on them, indicating a :hover state. (nav 2pts, slider arrows 2pts, artists 8pts) 2) The large area at the top should act as a jquery carousel with 3 panels (You’ll find all of the images in the images folder supplied and mockups here) Make sure the carousel doesn’t allow you to advance past the total number of panels.(15pts) 3) The top navigation bar should be position:fixed to the top of the browser – allowing the rest of the site to scroll beneath it. Additionally, when each link is clicked, it should utilize jquery to scroll you down to the appropriate section of the site (15pts) 4) Your final URL must be: [login to view URL] Project Files Download Project Mockup(visual purposes only!) Ambition Points: (up to 5) If you feel that in some way, you can add to this project and make it even better – I’ll reward you for doing so! You must not take away from what is required, but if you wanted to add in MORE functionality, you could earn up to 5 “ambition” points. Something to consider would be to add in more “interactivity” – maybe more hovers, maybe some transitions – surprise and impress me, and I’ll reward you for it. If your total grade exceeds 100, I will add the additional points to your lowest midterm grade.
