My Wordpress site is new and it's made up of home/ blog page, long-form sales page, only 2 posts at this stage. I want to SEO it and start building traffic, primarily to the sales page. My niche is eBook self-publishing.
Tasks are:
Identify the keywords that will bring most traffic to my sales page, home page and the 2 posts.
Do any necessary onpage SEO eg h1, h2, h3 etc - please discuss first as I don't know how the theme will handle this - I don't want headings reformatted. I am optimizing my images as a separate project (renaming file names, adding ALT text etc).
Implement the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin for each page and post and describe the steps you took to do that - how you applied the settings.
Get my Google authorship happening (I have a Google business page and profile image but it seems it's not yet linked)
SEO the 4 videos in my video channel. I have a transcript for each. Help me move one video over that's should be in my channel but isn't.
Finalise setting up the links to my soc media icons on the home page.
Setup Sharethis plugin or similar to get +1s and likes for my posts and my sales page.
I want some good quality backlinks - a natural mixture of follow and nofollow - I also have an infographic that can be posted on infographic sites. Please state how many links you can supply. Only white hat, please.
If I've left anything out that will help build traffic and make sales, please make recommendations eg how to reduce the page load speed of my sales page.
