Batch face-detection and image cropping using Python

We have around 30,000+ photos to detect face and crop. All of these photos good quality single portraits and detecting the face will be relatively easy if you are using open source scripts like OpenCV. There may be other software and script available as well. The photos, which are JPG and PNG image files, are in different sizes. We need the developer to detect faces in these images and crop it for head shot.
The size of the cropped image should 98X97 pixels (height = 98 and width = 97). Head, ears, hair and neck and collar, should be visible 100% (of course if they are available in the source image). Along with the cropped images, we want the developer to re-name the photos as per my directions and provide an XL sheet with old and new image names. Then the photos and images should be transferred to an FTP location.
