So, I have copied this from a previous post. Please forgive me if you are the author but the requirement is almost a CC of mine.
I am looking for a sample application/gadget that enables the user to select items from dropdown lists from within a Google Calendar event.
1. User opens their Google calendar
2. User creates an event - i.e. drags a new event for Tuesday, 10AM to 11AM.
3. User edits Event detail
4. Event detail screen opens, User adds a description, invites others etc
5. User also selects values from custom dropdowns from within the Google event detail page
6. User saves Event
The Process above is a mandatory set of steps - this must use a standard event taking advantage of google drag'n'size'create functionality.
I see step 5 as the 'not yet possible' step.
The data selected within the dropdowns can be stored elsewhere - i.e. not within the event - I see that storage process happening on the save of the event, or even as a by product of selecting items from the dropdowns - again that would be a webservice call.
I must stress that a full end to end working solution is not a mandatory requirement (save data to a local file if you must) - my primary goal is to get the Google Calendar Event customisation sorted - i.e. showing the populated drop downs on the event detail page.
(What about embedding an IFrame into the Event detail page - as long as the Event can be tied to the IFrames contents, that too would be acceptable)
Please feel free to seek clarification.
I will require full source code of any solution.
