For our students, we’d need to build an environment with different technologies and graph database at the end. We are looking for a step by step instructions on how to re-create the same environment many times.
We’d like to have Apache working on port 443, NodeJS working on port 4433 and Neo4J at the end. We’d like to have the Apache proxy from port 443 to NodeJS, who is connected to the Neo4J DB.
Requirements:
• Starting from clean Ubuntu (no apache or any other of the mentioned software installed)
• Having one sudu user (for example: sudustudent), who may install/configure everything
• Step by step instruction (working copy/paste instructions) on how to install Neo4J, NodeJS, Apache
• How to start, stop, restart their services
• Assuming that everything happens on a single host – for the documentation, let’s use [login to view URL]
• If completely new files are required for any of the mentioned configurations – we’d expect to have them in the final [login to view URL] file
• Once the environment is ready, we’d like to have the functionality with NodeJS and rest API services
• NodeJS:
o Sample application under MVC pattern (the most simple framework to be chosen)
o At least two entry points (routes), even though one may be good for that simple functionality
o NodeJS code to be well documented, so people with very beginners level to be able to read the code and potentially build a new entry point for Rest Service
o The functionality of the NodeJS Service/s should accept/deal as described below
Using Ubuntu native Rest Client (json format of the data and responses), we’d like to have documentation on how to (each bullet to be able to be executed separately):
• Create new Node (e.g. Person “John1”)
• Add to created person properties: Tall, Phone
• Create new Node (Animal -> “Rexy”, brown, green eyes)
• Create a link with timestamp “John1” -> “liked” -> “Rexy”
• Request all the nodes of type person who likes Rexy
• Request all the types of the nodes within the database
• Request all the animals with their properties being: eyes=brown
• Create a record: Person “John2” likes Animal: Rexy of type dog and Animal: Мaky of type monkey with timestamp of the event
All of the responses are to be limited up to 1000 records.
Expected Deliverables:
• Clear, step by step instruction which may be executed as copy/paste commands
• Archive with the NodeJS well documented code
• Any configuration files if needed
