Script writer for Mac OS

Hello I am a macOS system engineer, I've done a fair amount of scripting (build scripts, backup scripts that rsync files from the VPS servers, cron jobs), as well as MacOS app development. Is the network server mounted as a file system share? (as in showing in Finder's sidebar and inside /Volumes/ directory), or is it an FTP server or some other api-based resource? Matching file in terms of both contents (binary match) and filename? Would be happy to help you out.

Hi. This sounds interesting. I think we need a script to: a) scan a selected folder, and extract filename and file-size, for each file. b) scan the network server, and do the same, but this time we store the file path/location too. c) compare the two sets of results looking for matches d) produce a report of files found. e) perform the actions (move file to found) My reasoning for doing it this was, is that we only scan the network server once rather than for every file.
