Windows 10 to authenticate users agains OpenLdap without AD

We have windows 10 and Windows 7 Pro desktop
We have openldap server setup on Linux (ubuntu)
We need users to authenticate against the LDAP server to login to their desktop.
We DO NOT want to setup AD, we do NOT want them to join any domains
The devices will authenticate across WAN (the Ldap server is available on public IP)
Update: This has to be done, without the use of external application like pgina
