We have a Magento store running on version 18.01 on a shared server. We need to transfer all the files to a newly installed VPS server. For this we want to do a fresh installation of Magento version 19 on a VPN Apache server before transferring all the files and database. SSH available for VPS.

Hi rvm97. I think better transfer existing store and then upgrade 1,8 - 1.9 . We need a way to export database from shared first.

Hi I success made finished same project before! I purpose 2 pass transfer: 1) I copy files & db from shard top VPS and made upgrade. You test it and confirm is everyting ok. 2) I copy files & db from shared, set mantiance mode and made upgrade on VPS again. 3) You change domain name to VPS IP
