May I ask why you want to use Access, why not MSSQL server with ASP.NET front-end? Hello! I have gone through whole PDF file and I see this is the serious project with lots of work ahead. You also did a good design, on the first look it imply it will be used from Windows tablets also? The good news is that this is doable with Access. Not all controls exist and some things must be custom made, but it is doable. A small trouble will be about those spreadsheet-like data forms, those are not "natural" for the database, so I expect there more work than usual. The database will be SQL Server Express (free version). Limit of this database is 10 GB in database size which is huge. For comparison, MS Access limit of database size is 2 GB. We can make it available over The internet by sharing SQL Server database so you or any of the workers can connect to database wherever they have The internet available using Windows tablet, laptop or any other device that is capable of running Microsoft Access. I am working with MS Access only back from the year 1993 and version 2.0 (that is 22 years and counting) and I was Microsoft Access MVP twice (an honour title given by Microsoft) - see my profile for details. Also, I have zero projects not complete, everything I took to work on, I completed. Now I need to make an estimation and I am worse estimator in the world I think. Hello! I work with excel and access for last 5 years and have created hundreds of different database ( from simple to complicated solutions that use VBA MSQL, PHP based). Even my rating at this site not very high, i really know what i am doing. I have all skills You need for this project ( and can show You examples for your confidence). I have review the Scope of work. I would like to ask if you have it in Word or otter format (it will be easier to use). I would like to offer few options: 1. To do it in Access which will take around 80-100hours, but interface will look differently then on your slides. 2. PHP - 160-200hours with the same design But as it is internal accounting, I think Access will suit it well. If You need somebody who can manage really difficult thing, I am right person, i have good background in Access, and all my DB work with 100% accuracy and performance. I could give you the data structure and functionality to do that. - Then to organize team-workers for hours and assign routes...(stages) -Assign starts, stops, and pits along a day, with the associated payments. For each team, some details of route and hours spent must be summarized. I have to provide you with several data-tables to fill some dropdown files in forms. Assign Diesel according to total time running. When filling the forms, some measures have to be placed manually, so it is important the responsability assigned to the user-profile. The user or operator, can decide if all filled data about the stages will be definitively stored in the database, changing the status. The data structure have to fill requirements for many kind orf reports. Conclusion by now: Not MsAccess, must be Mysql to do the web possible. I have gone through your document, which is really detailed and explanatory. First, I would like to mention that, since this is to be run inside the company network, there is no need for Web Based application. Secondly, what you wish can be achieved with either stand-alone Access database (version 2010) or with a desktop application created by .Net. Personally, I prefer the second option (database and program located in Network folder and accessed by shortcuts in users PC), but the final decision is up to you. My workload is an average of 20 hours per week (since, due to my morning job, I work in afternoons and weekends). This is flexible, of course. Estimation of delivery is approximately one month. Of course, this should be discussed (and modified) on the following basis : are you comfortable with partial delivery and testing, or you prefer one-shot ? For example, we could develop / deliver / test at a first approach the various "Setup tables", once this is OK proceed to "creating jobs" module, once this is OK proceed to inquiries and so on.
