Expert Advice: Help with electronic catalog

I? am faced with a challenge for which I need expert advice.

I will have to capture hundreds of images (photo) for a e-commerce site.

There will be around 8000 items (some of the will have to have shots from more than one angle)

Those are sports clothing and shoes (such as soccer t-shirts, balls, keds, etc)

I need an expert to advice me on:

1) Which camera to use (I assume that it should be a camera directly connected to a notebook), or which I should look for when selecting one

2) Any software that I should license to facilitate the job of organizing pictures as I take then?

3) I will have to have a full resolutions picture and then generate three other sizes (thumbnails, for example). What would be the right technic to automate this process?

4) I will have to take pictures on the field (i.e., I cannot bring the products to an in house studio). So I will have to acquire portable studios. I would like to know which features should I look for when selecting one.

5) The time it usually takes to produce pictures for a single item. I would need that to estimate the man power needed for this task.

6) One thing that I might need in the future is to take pictures that will be transformed in 360 degrees view. It is not a must, but advice on how to do it and which software to use would be greatly appreciated.

6) Any other advice that is relevant for this task.

So, I am fairly new on this and I am looking for expert advice to help me delivering the job.
