I am currently working on a project to build a solution for digital signage and similar applications. I would like help in setting up the computer that will act as a video server.

Briefly, I am working with an MSI IM-GM45 computer, booting Linux OS. Ultimately, the target is to deliver HD video stored on an internal drive to large plasma screens via DVI or HDMI, with the possibility to synchronize several such computers via an ethernet link to display works. For reasons of video quality, Mplayer with a high-end codec such as the Dirac codec, is preferred.

I am seeking assistance in:

1. setting up X to display on large screens over HDMI

2. setting up a working ethernet connection with this mainboard

3. setting up Mplayer to deliver video fullscreen, in high quality resolution

4. setting up Mplayer to work with other computers in a network

Thank you.

## Deliverables

The work requires someone with experience and knowledge of working with configuration of Linux, X windows with plasma sets, and Mplayer. There is also a need to configure ethernet networking on the IM-GM45 mainboard using Linux drivers and/or protocol.
