For a browser-related program, I need code that will make selective deletions, based on date, from the history cache in Internet Explorer. This is a more difficult problem than you might think, because the built-in method for doing this, DeleteURL, does not work properly. (You can test this yourself. Use the call to delete some entries -- for example, all of those created today. Then start IE; the entries will still be there in History.) The following Microsoft page discusses the problem, and suggests a possible solution. [login to view URL];en-us;327569 The code will need to delete history items that were last visited after a certain date, such as today, but without affecting any of the other entries. The code should be written in C. (We will, of course, need the source code.) It should support all versions of Windows starting with Windows 98, and all versions of IE from 5 on.
