I need code to extract photos from a movie.
The program should provide the following features:
1) Open the video file (avi, mp2, mov, etc.) and output the following:
- status: ok/error
- length (in seconds)
- number of frames
- time taken (not file time)
- vendor specific data (like camera model, etc.)
2) For an open file, rip out a given from and produce an image from it (output format to be determined, we can start with simple bmp).
3) Close file
The program should detect the correct codec from the system registry.
The program should work with STANDARD Windows calls, and be able to run on Windows 98-Xp.
The program will be supplied as readable source code, and an example program compiled with a console interface. I want to use the code to build a DLL to interface with my program (don't need support for that).
The sample project, producing a console program should be built with Microsoft VC6.
The program must not rely on the existance of special DLLs that must be installed seperately.
The resulting compiled program must be below 500Kbyte.
## Deliverables
