The project is to implement a web site (that we will provide a photoshop design for) using an open-source content management system in PHP (like Mambo, but we're open to any good one)
Some of the features are standard features for organization web sites, and we would encourage people submitting bids to have done something like this before and be integrating pre-built, open-source components.
It is for a non-profit organization here in New York, and it will have the following features:
1. User login (users can only be created by the administrator, but should be able to be imported and exported)
2. User import (from an excel file / csv) and user export (to an excel file / csv) with information about each user (first name, last name, email address)
3. Members only sections (such as a job list)
4. It must be easy to post new content and to manage existing content
5. Event calendar (administrators must be able to add events; anonymous users must be able to view the calendar.). Each event must be able to have a description.
6. They must be able to add new sections and pages.
7. There will be room for advertising banners. These should be able to be rotated and the clicks tracked.
8. Statistics must be accessible for total views, views by page, by logged in member, banner hits, etc.
The site map looks like this:
Splash Page (homepage 1)
Home (homepage 2)
-> Upcoming Events
-> Membership
-> About
-> Newsletters
-> Library (list of books that the organization has, with descriptions for each)
-> Jobs
(login)
We will supply the design of the home page and subpages (in photoshop format). You must implement it elegantly so that it is a pleasure to manage! :)
