RTML Yahoo Store Customization

**Objective:** Customize our Yahoo online store ([login to view URL] ) to increase usability and functionality (for more info on Yahoo Store see [login to view URL] ). The Yahoo templates available to yahoo stores are limited, hence we would need a customization of the yahoo templates to change the look and functionality of our website. The changes should not be made through HTML, since this would mean loosing the functionality of the Yahoo store, but through the use of RTML (see [login to view URL] ) and the programming capabilities offered by the Yahoo Store interface. Yahoo Store provides an interface that allows Yahoo store owners and programmers to change the look of the store by modifying templates or creating new ones from scratch, and perform a variety of tasks, such as adding products and related images and info, grouping products (pages) within section pages, and managing online orders. For this job we are looking for a programmer that can successfully work with RTML and within the Yahoo platform in order to create, document, and implement 3 different templates for our online store: a) the template for the home page; b) the template for our product pages; and c) the template for section pages (to be completed last). We want to take this one step at a time and do what is feasible within RTML. We could break down some of the design elements and make this an ongoing project. ## Deliverables 1)Online creation of new templates as outlined below. All site changes to the ID Superstore Yahoo store are to be installed, tested and functional. 2)Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done, including clear documentation with informative comments on the design, implementation, and testing stages. All in hard copy and on CD or 3.5?? disk. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. **Detailed Description of Job:** This job is subdivided into the following parts and you can bid on the different parts separately or as a whole: 1)Modify Yahoo Template for Home Page to include the following components: a)Add a left navigation bar with subdivisions to hold different categories b)Modify top navigation bar to include two rows of tabs. c)Add two sections under the top navigation bar on the home-page: * The left one to be used for specials (new products or products on sale) that can hold 3 products (image of product + short desc. + price) with links, and * The one on the right to be used to display icons (as links) for categories of products (probably two columns). For the home page we would basically like to achieve the look and feel as well as the functionality as found on ( [login to view URL] ) 2)Modify Yahoo Template for Product Pages to include the following components: a)Within the product page have tabs with different information available for each product. As an example of this see: [login to view URL] - tabtop b)Have the order button on the top of the page (next to the image), instead of having it at the very bottom of the page as it is now. 3)Modify Yahoo Template for Section pages. Detailed description of this part of the job to be given at a later time, when home page and product page templates are completed. **Special Requirements:** A. That all work on the Yahoo store be monitored by one of our employees. This is to be done by e-mail where you would notify our manager of what you are working on and what changes are completed. This is important to ensure that our online store continues working fine. B. You are going to be given access to the online store interface. You will require a Yahoo e-mail account. ## Platform RTML.
