Add an Audio Player to a Wordpress theme

I would like to add an audio player to a website that should be continuously playing across page. The music should not be interrupted whatsoever during page navigation. This effort will most likely be researching audio players available online, selecting one that's appropriate, and implementing it in a Wordpress template (or if it's much easier in Joomla, then I can do that too). If you are aware of (or find) a good Wordpress template that already has a built-in audio player that you think meet the requirements, then I am open to using it. Having experience working with audio plugins or other popular audio/music solutions will probably greatly help in this project. The audio player will be intended to play live radio streams and should work with Shoutcast and Icecast streams at the very minimum. Here's an example of a Shoutcast stream: "[login to view URL]". The mp3 stream can be obtained like this (when using the short-code for the default Wordpress audio player): [audio mp3="[login to view URL];[login to view URL]"] The player should "look" fairly simple and professional: - A large play button needs to be displayed. The play button would turn into a stop button if clicked. - The current radio station name - Text indicating the current song being played -- can be obtained from the shoutcast stream url in the field called "current song" - An image icon of the radio station (if this is too complicated, we can drop this requirement) - A buffering or loading indicator needs to be visible when someone selects a station to play until the stream is obtained. If an error occurs during the load (e.g. the stream is down), a visual indication would also be needed. - A mute button or volume button would be nice to have if easily available, but not absolutely necessary. The audio player should be able to accept and play different streams based on what the user selects on the website through the various pages in it. The player will also need to "always be on top." It would be very desirable if the audio player can sit in a header or footer of the website -- in other words, having it look like it's "built-in" the template. This would be as opposed to having a stand-alone audio player that is floating on top on its own. The current theme I am using is Wordpress's TwentyFourteen theme, which can be found below: [login to view URL] Ideally I would like the audio player to be displayed in the header of that template (beside the top menu and search). However, if this is not possible due to the way this template is designed (i.e. can't do continuous playing across page), then I am open to other template suggestions or ideas. And again, if there is already a template that already has a built-in audio player that will do this job, I would be open to using it -- I would need to like the template personally and make sure that it meets the content requirements of the website as well. It is important for the player to work across all major browsers and on mobile devices: it will need to be responsive (maybe take out "current song" playing in mobile version if necessary, for example). I am open to working with existing audio players available online for purchase (as long as you guarantee that they will meet the requirements and can make it work).
