I am creating a statistics section an existing website to track the top point scorers in the league.
The Front end of the site will list the players with the top scoring averages
**BOYS** (there will be boys and girls list)
? ? ? Player.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Avg.
1. John Smith.? ? ? 32.5 pts
2. Jerry Lee.? ? ? ? ? ? ? 29.6 pts
Player will be listed in order of highest scoring average. Each name will be clickable. When clicked it will bring up all games and scoring totals the individual has. ie:
John Smith
Pasadena Cougars
6th Grade Boys
(And below that)
pts? ? ? ? ? ? location? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? date
30pts.? Winter Classic 01/01/09
35pts.? Fall Classic.? ? ? ? ? 01/01/08
10pts.? Spring Classic? 01/01/07
The log for each player will total up games played and average pts per game. We can put their avg pts next to their name on the front end list.
**ON THE ADMIN SIDE:**
To enter in players and scoring performances, I would like:
1) For First time entries:
- Name (free text)
- Team (free text)
- Grade (drop down box)
- Boy/Girl (drop down box)
- Pts (drop down box 1-50pts)
- Tourn. Name (free text)
- Date (will pull up calendar)
2) Future entries for existing players:
- Find athlete (drop down box)
- Pts (drop down box 1-50pts)
- Tourn. Name (free text)
- Date (will pull up calendar)
## Deliverables
**PROGRAMMIN SETUP/ENTERING IN DATA
**
There should be two sections: Create a Player and Player Logs.
In the Create a Player section you create your list and add the basic information for each player.
- Name (free text)
- Team (free text)
- Grade (drop down box)
- Boy/Girl (drop down box)
The entry will then go onto a drop down menu in **Player Logs** section..
There you can add entries for trheir performances.
- Pts (drop down box 1-50pts)
- Tourn. Name (free text)
- Date (will pull up calendar)
After that the player is updated on the front end. You will be able to go to the Players Log section and add as many entries per person as you want. They will average out and appear on the fron end od site.
